The company seeks partners with experience of healthcare information technology management systems for its suite of hospital patient flow management solutions. The company is looking for commercial agreements with technical assistance.

 

Description     

This south west based SME is the UK's premier supplier of patient flow management solutions to the hospital outpatient sector.

 

The majority of patients receive hospital healthcare and treatment as outpatients through clinic appointments and walk in services eg blood tests, Xrays in Outpatient Departments (OPDs).  OPDs are notorious for being inefficient and are widely recognised as being the least patient friendly services delivered by healthcare organisations. As a result, productivity, outcomes and patient satisfaction are regularly compromised with direct financial and service quality consequences to the healthcare provider.

 

The UK company is a bespoke supplier of solutions for OPDs. The company has over 20 years experience and works with over 80 leading UK hospitals including Royal Free London, Bart's and University College London Hospitals.  

 

The majority of OPDs still operate through a manual process whereby patients are checked in at a reception area by staff who are often stretched and therefore do not confirm the accuracy of personal data.  Patients are called by nursing staff to a consultation room.  Once seen the outcome is manually recorded and input into the hospital system at a later date.  

 

This manual process is labour intensive, fails to identify and correct inaccurate data and is vulnerable to human error.  Furthermore patients referred for other procedures get overwhelmed and confused and struggle to find other departments.  All of which increase costs.

 

The suite of programmes have been developed drawing on years of experience and expertise in patient flow, the patient journey and customer service and address the issues faced by many OPDs.

 

The patient-centred solutions ensure structure, work-flow and resource allocation are designed around the patient through each stage of their hospital journey from arrival the hospital to GP follow up. The solutions:

The company has distributors in Australia and the Middle East and wishes to continue its international expansion with a focus on Europe. The SME seeks reliable and established distribution partners with experience of supplying software solutions to the health sector to incorporate this technology with their solutions portfolio under commercial agreement with technical assistance.

 

Type and Role of Partner Sought    

Distribution partners should have an established business supplying software solutions to the health sector. 

Experience of hardware and software installation and implementation is desirable as well as integration skills using HL7 and other interfaces.

The partner will be responsible for sales and marketing, installation and implementation and support.

The solution will require a help desk with first and second line software and hardware support. Initial installation, training and third line software support will be provided by the UK company.  The UK company will provide additional support if required.
